Vanuit strakke vlakken, restruimtes en een grote liefde voor kleur creëert Isabelle schilderijen. Haar werk is een combinatie van vrije illustraties en beelden, geïnspireerd door de waarneming van gebouwen, objecten en ruimtes om haar heen. Ze laat zich inspireren door eenvoudige dingen, van een wijnfles tot een interessante straathoek of een kleurenpalet dat ze tegenkomt.
In haar werk streeft ze naar strakke composities en plaatst ze kleuren tegenover elkaar om een specifieke sfeer te creëren.
Het afgelopen jaar baseert ze veel van haar schilderijen op foto’s die ze tijdens vakanties neemt. De mooie, platte gevels in felle kleuren worden vaak gecombineerd met de inspirerende lelijkheid van elektriciteitsdraden door de stad hangen.
De schilderijen worden opgebouwd alsof het collages zijn met acryl op canvas. Als zij een vlak openlaat, komt de kleur van het vlak daaronder zichtbaar. Zo ontstaat een interessant spel van verschillende lagen.

From sleek surfaces, negative spaces, and a deep love for color, Isabelle creates paintings. Her work is a combination of free illustrations and imagery, inspired by her observations of buildings, objects, and spaces around her. She finds inspiration in simple things—anything from a wine bottle to an interesting street corner or a color palette she comes across.
In her work, she strives for clean compositions, placing colors next to each other to create a specific atmosphere.
Over the past year, many of her paintings have been based on photos she takes during her travels. The beautiful, flat facades in bright colors are often combined with the inspiring ugliness of electrical wires crisscrossing the city.
Her paintings are constructed like collages, using acrylic on canvas. When she leaves a plane open, the color of the layer beneath becomes visible, creating an interesting interplay of different layers.
